It took us about an hour and a half from Glengarry Primary School to the Sand Dunes (at Guilderton). As the sand dunes was located in the middle of a river, we had to take a cruise boat driven by a guide by the name of Mr Phil Cook to reach the sand dunes.
Sand-boarding down the sand dunes was a fun and easy process. Initially we were very terrified that we were unable to stop in time because if we do not, we will land ourselves up in the water! However, some of us were brave enough to be “guinea pigs” and be the first few to try it out. After watching them sand-board down, we realised that it was safe and easy to sand-board. Whee! We could do it! In fact, everyone in our trip tried at least once! The most difficult part of the sand-boarding experience had to be the climbing up the dunes again to pass on the sand board to our friends for their chance to try at it. It was rather tiring but totally worth it!
We really enjoyed this activity and would really like to do it again in the near future!
