Day 2 - Blogged by: Nathan, Oli, Ee Cheer, Vanessa, Nehal, Shu Wei & Jin Wen

At the Orchard Glory Farm, we were able to feed different animals in the farm such as the sheep, horses, rabbits and many other animals. It was very interesting as we cannot do this in our daily lives and we can learn more about the animals e.g. their diet, behavior, etc.

We visited a winery in the farm. Mr Keith explained the process of wine making. He taught us how the grapes are made into the wine. We were amazed by how each bottle was sealed. We were even able to fill and seal a bottle of wine ourselves!
We were amazed how the farmer used his shaver to shear the sheep. After all the wool was sheared off, we were afraid that the sheep would fall sick but the farmer assured us that the sheep would be all right and all the wool would grow back in 12 months.

The Amazing Race was very fun and we learned many things from it. We had 4 obstacles. Firstly, we had to find 10 different types of leaves, 5 different types of fruits and count the number of steps at the winery to get the 1st clue. Next, we had to build a structure using balloons and hold them together using some sticky tape. The structure had to be taller than a chair and had to stand on its own without any support. The next challenge was to wrap our group in toilet paper and our group had to weave in between chairs in order to get a bottle of tomato sauce and barbeque sauce. After that, we had to build a structure with some colorful straws and drop an egg from a certain height into it. The aim was for the egg to drop into it without cracking! It was really very challenging and many of us actually sacrificed a few eggs in the process. L We were glad that we preserved on and all of us were winners !
We learnt about perseverance and not to give up through this Amazing Race!

At night, we had a campfire out in the open at night. It was cool in the night and we were all seated around the warm fire. We played games like 7Up and 007 Bang! It was really fun! The players who did wrong moves had to do a forfeit e.g. dance CHICKEN Dance or sing a song using “Ahhhh”. We enjoyed our time as we sang P5 camp songs for the classes.
Sitting around the campfire under the starry night felt very warm and all of us enjoyed the momemt…..
